About Cristina

Mexican contemporary artist based in Baja California Sur. Trained as an architect, she has always been driven by a profound curiosity for art, design, and the preservation of nature, inspired by a deep respect for the intelligence and beauty of the natural world.

Since becoming a full-time artist in 2018, she has built an established artistic career while founding CR Esttudio and managing Portal Cultural, a community space dedicated to creativity and knowledge sharing.

Her current practice centers on large-scale textured paintings that honor women and celebrate the beauty and wisdom of nature, inviting viewers into moments of reflection, connection, and personal transformation. Watercolor, her first artistic love, remains an intimate and essential part of her artistic language.

An avid kitesurfer and freediver, Cristina’s work is deeply shaped by the ocean, introspection, and a lifelong pursuit of personal growth.
